Ready for Solids??

While we were in Savannah last week I was eating a banana and Evelyn started to reach for it, so I let her put it in her mouth, she made a face but continued to put it in her mouth so I mashed up some in a bowl and attempted to feed it to her. It did not go over well, she spit it all out each time I tried to give her a bite.

This experiment with solid foods confirmed my suspicion that she is not ready to start solid foods, which is fine with me because she is still a little young for them. Bananas were Emeline's first food, we did baby-led weaning with her and plan to use the same method for introducing Evelyn to solid foods. It worked great with Emeline!
