Today Tristan and Emeline had their first teeth cleanings. We have been talking about the dentist and what would happen at the appointment for several days to prepare them for what to expect and they both did great!! They got to be in the same room together and sit in the chairs at the same time.
Emeline loved the chair and getting her picture taken.
Tristan was happy to sit in the cool chair.
Evelyn got to watch brother and sister because she doesn't have any teeth yet.
Tristan went first and was excited when they gave him a cool bib to wear and sunglasses to keep stuff from getting in his eyes. They laid the chair back and got to work.
Tristan did a great job, he opened his mouth when she asked and seemed like an old pro, Emeline had to come see the funny noise the special tooth brush made.
Tristan loved the "straw" and when they squirted water in his mouth. We are so proud of how well he did at the dentist.
Emeline went next and she was ready!
She was so excited to get her sunglasses, as you can see, but got a little nervous when the chair started moving.
She did much better than we expected, she did cry some but always opened her mouth when she was asked. All in all it was a successful visit and the pediatric dentist was great. The kids got toothbrushes to take home and they got to pick a prize for being so cooperative.
