The Great Spider Hunt

Saturday morning the kids and I went to the Great Spider Hunt at the Factory in Franklin. It is basically like an Easter egg hunt but with chocolate spiders. Dad was supposed to go with us, but he got called into work early Saturday morning. The hunt was at 9:30 am so we had to get up early to get there in time. The kids had a blast and Tristan almost found enough spiders to come in third place which is pretty impressive considering all the other kids had at least one parent to help them and Tristan was pretty much on his own because I had Evelyn. They didn't care about the prizes, they were just excited about chocolate spiders! Tristan and Emeline are waiting for the hunt to begin.
Reading the story about Mildred the spider and all her babies.

The hunt is on.

Emeline is so proud of herself for picking up the spiders.

Tristan, Mommy, Evelyn and Emeline after the hunt. The kids had a great time hunting spiders and also playing with the toys at Aunt Ruth's shop, The Little Cottage. It was a fun event and we plan to go back next year!
