Evelyn will be 2 tomorrow, 3/8/2011. We celebrated her birthday last Saturday with a garden fairy theme with family and friends. This was her invitation.

We bought her a nice tutu and wings from The Little Cottage for her to wear to her fairy party. I think she looked so cute. Of course we had to get Emeline some wings too, and she wore one of her dress up tutus.

I just love this one of Evelyn's back.

We had a kids table set up with a fairy wand craft that was really popular with the 8 kids who attended.

Since her party was at 3:00pm we went with simple finger foods, the biggest hits were the pasta salad, courtesy of Mimi, and the sausage balls, courtesy of Aunt Lalo. Almost all of the food was eaten.

Of course the kids really loved the cake!

Here is a pic of everyone eating in the living room.

Sweet and Sassy did Evelyn's cake. I basically took them the invitation and told them roughly what I was looking for, so I had no idea what the actual finished product would look like. It turned out even better than what I had pictured in my head. Not to mention it tasted fantastic!!And they managed to put chocolate icing under the colored icing which is a big plus in our family!

Evelyn could hardly wait to eat her cake. If she had it her way we would have eaten cake before dinner.

I had to snag a shot with the birthday girl!

The three of us.

Evelyn with her great-grand-mother, aka Nan.

Evelyn had a great birthday party. Mimi and Poppy were able to come in for the weekend which is always a big treat! She had a blast playing with all the kids and being the center of attention. She walked around the whole time like she owned the place, she obviously knew that she was the star of the day. I can't believe my baby girl is 2!! My how the time flies!
